Writescape

Writescape welcomes artist and instructor, Margaret Farrar, who is running a concurrent ArtEscape retreat at Spring Thaw 2011.  At this painting retreat, artists at all levels will learn to trust their intuition and express themselves freely, brush in hand.

With more than 30 years teaching art, Margaret has received many awards across Canada and the USA for her original works in oil, watercolour and acrylic.

She is a founding and honourary life member of the Dorval Artists Association, member of Ajax Creative Arts, Oshawa Art Association, Port Perry Artists Association and The Whitby Station Gallery,the Pine Ridge Arts Council,  Landscape Artists International and Arts for All Canada.

Margaret is a founding member of the recently formed Artists-by-the Lake Studio and Ontario Plein Air named her chair for the Durham & Scugog area for 2010. This accomplished artist works from her home studio and does a number of commissions for collectors across Canada each year.
