Susanna Kearsley
At the age of 25, Susanna Kearsley gave up a career as a museum curator to write her first novel. Nineteen years later, she is still doing the thing she “loves best” — writing. She submitted her second novel, Mariana, to Transworld Publishers’ Catherine Cookson Fiction Prize competition. Four days before Christmas, she learned that she had won.
