Spring Thaw – April 2009
APRIL 3, 4, & 5 2009
The crocus finally popped through and bloomed by sunny Sunday but even the dusting of spring snow on Saturday didn’t keep our writers’ pens from flowing with images and ideas. By the time goodbyes were said and writers left the shores of lovely Rice Lake, it was clear that a great weekend of writing had just occurred.
Elmhirst’s Resort created a wonderful atmosphere from the beautiful setting to the cozy cottages to the magnficent meeting room to the fine dining in the Hearthside dining room. And Writescape ‘retreaters’ delighted in the inspiration of Sue Reynolds’ morning freefalls and the sensory explosion of Gwynn’s inspiration station.
Write, write, write they came to do and write, write, write they did. And share with each other through dynamic dinner discussions and cosy fireside chats.
We had such a grand time, we already booked our fall retreat Turning Leaves on October 23, 24, & 25 at Elmhirst’s Resort.
